Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park Rwanda
This 3 days Rwanda gorillas & golden monkey safari starts with a pickup from Kigali International Airport or your accommodation place in Kigali. You will be met by our tour guide in the morning and after transferred to Volcanoes National Park in the northern province of Rwanda.
The drive to Volcanoes National Park takes approximately two hours. Depending on what time you are picked up or arrive, you can carry out a city tour in Kigali just before your transfer.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in PNV & Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village Visit
This is your special day of this 3 days Rwanda gorillas & golden monkey safari. This is the day you get to meet Rwanda gorillas in the Virunga Mountains. After an early morning breakfast meal, you will drive to the park headquarters from where you will be briefed from before you begin your gorilla trekking exercise.
Gorilla trekking in Rwanda is not so hard but can take up to eight hours on a bad day inclusive of the one hour you spend around gorillas. At the end of your gorilla trekking exercise, you will receive your respective gorilla trekking certificates and drive back to your lodge.
In the evening, you will visit Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village for a cultural experience and after return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking & Departure
This last day of your 3 days Rwanda gorillas & golden monkey safari comes with another great tour activity. You will be trekking golden monkeys in the mountains.
Golden Monkey takes 2 – 3 hours and is equally an interesting activity. After golden monkey trekking in Rwanda, you will drive back to Kigali where you will be dropped at the airport or a drop off point to mark the end of your 3 days Rwanda gorillas & golden monkey tour.
